INTENTIONAL HOSPITALITY TRAINING & CONSULTING
I’m Tara Senam, founder and operator of Meraki Group and Intentional Hospitality Training, a growing hospitality group on the Central Coast.
I’ve spent the past 16 years in the industry, leading the development, build, and launch of 14 venue concepts. Not from the sidelines, but in it. On the floor, in the numbers, building teams and in the day-to-day reality of what it takes to run a hospitality business.
Today, I operate five active brands with a team of over 100 people. Over time, more than 1,000 individuals have worked across my businesses. Building strong teams and creating environments where people can grow has always been a core part of what Meraki Group is about.
My experience hasn’t come from theory. It’s come from doing. From getting things right, getting a lot wrong, and learning what actually makes a hospo business sustainable long term.
I focus heavily on structure, systems, performance and culture. Because I’ve seen firsthand that a venue can look great from the outside and still not work behind the scenes. The core foundations matter more than anything.
Alongside operating my venues, I work with other business owners through ‘Intentional Hospitality’ consulting. Supporting them to build stronger, more profitable businesses with clarity and direction. No f#$k about, just practical, real advice based on experience.
I’m still actively involved across all areas of my businesses. Working closely with my team, driving performance, and continuing to evolve alongside the industry.

I’m passionate about helping people build real, meaningful careers in hospitality - especially young adults who are ready to take this industry seriously.
I started my own journey at just 12 years old and fell in love with the energy of it all. But I didn’t have the support or mentorship to see it as a long-term path.
Looking back, I know I would’ve started my full-time journey sooner and with more confidence if someone had helped me realise what was possible.
Now, I’m that person for others. I want to see hospitality treated with the respect it deserves - by those in the industry, and by those looking in. Because if you’re willing to commit, grow, and surround yourself with the right people, this can absolutely be a career you’re proud of.
